Spitfire losses 16 July 1944 near Conde sur Noireau

Hello all,

I am looking for the Spitfire losses on 16 July 1944 at about 20.00 hours. During this time Me 109's of II./JG 3 claimed several Spitfires near Conde sur Noireau (France). Any info is wellcome. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I only have one Spitfire loss for this date,

NH265 LFIX 403S–Combat with BF109’S North of Flers. Pilot is listed as F/O M B O’Kelly killed.

No other losses recorded, could be a case of over-claiming again,

Dear Colin,

Thanks for the info. Do you have the ORB of 403 Squadron entries relating to this incident and at about what time did O'Kelly crash near Flers? It seems to be in the area where II./JG 3 claimed the Spitfires. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks again.
