    Default What is 16 PTC?

I am tracking the movements of a Spitfire pilot who was seriously injured in a channel ditching in April 1944 and spent several months in hospital and rehab. There is a notation on his file posting him to 16 PTC from 126 Wing.

Can anyone tell me where this unit was? I assume it is a physical training centre since he had broken his legs and was probably receiving physiotherapy.

After this note, he moves on to 83 Group SU and then back to 411 Sqn.

Thanks again Errol. I guess this would merely be an administrative posting and not a place he actually went to.

Any notes on what 83 Group SU was?
