    Default G.R.D.B. Hobsbawn 102 Squadron

G.R. Hobsbawn is listed in my father's P.O.W. Red Cross "Wartime Log" as being a resident of Santiago Chile.

I understand that Hobsbawn was with 102 Squadron and flying in Halifax W7652 when shot down on 16/6/42 on a raid to Essen.

I am curious as to the nationality and background of Hobsbawn and hope the forum can provide some answers.

    have you tried contacting:

    RAF Ex-Prisoner of War Association
    Contact: H.E. Batchelder, DFM,
    Batchmore,
    7 The Glebe,
    Lavendon,
    Olney
    Bucks MK46 4HY

As Batchelder was the pilot he may know more. I believe Linzee suggested the same in 2007:
