    Re: 79922 F/Lt Gordon H JACKSON.

No.204 Sqn lost Sunderland III W6015 on 28-11-1942. Chaz Bowyer, in "The Short Sunderland" (p.168), states that there were 12 missing. The CWGC only shows 11 missing for 204 Sqn on 29-11-1942 (10 RAF, 1 RCAF). So Jackman could have been aboard W6015.

All, including JACKMAN, are listed in Flight. March 11, 1943. pp.269-70. Cas. Comm. No.206 as: Missing.

    Col,
GRO list gives JACKMAN's unit as 59 MU (Newland near Coleford, Glos - info from Dennis). Serial of the Sunderland was W6016 and I've 13 missing. Besides 11 RAF (in alphab. order: D.D. Anderson - F.A. Beane - D.G. Davies - A.G. Espley - A.P.D. Francis - R.A. Hird - B. Mac Aulay - A.J. Marshall - A.L. Mitchell - J.S. Short - G.H. Wilson) also two RN Commanders as passengers: Christopher De Daumarez BROCK and Rudolf I.C. BEHR, both from HMS Excellent II and commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial.
    Regards,
    Henk.

I double checked that and it does list 59 MU for F/Lt G. H. Jackman

F/Lt G H Jackman is listed "previsouly missing, now believed Killed in Action" on Cas Comm 304, Nov 11th 1943, along with all RAF names Henk listed.
