In addition to the offering by Ross, there was another casualty on the Anson,
Harold Leroy Spangler, RCAF (from the death register)

BTW the location given is " Moorpark" which is marked on OS map as "Moorpark of Baldoch, 0.5m W of the boundary of Wigtown Airfield.

"Bladnoch" is indeed a village N of the airfield and may have been confused with "Baldoch" in the record.

EDIT I see that R9645 is in the usual records as having crashed in 1941, in the Anson File as having crashed into the sea. (???)

Thanks friends for your support and help.
To make things more complicated, here's what I read in Allison's TSGNO for Harold Leroy SPANGLER:
"9 AFU - killed when he lost control of his Anson aircraft and crashed one mile north of Bladnock, Wigtown, Wigtownshire. F/Lt V. JELINEK (RAF) and three other airmen, not Canadians, were also killed".
I've Harold Leroy Spangler is my files on Anson R9645.

However, Vaclav JELINEK - 61918 (Czech) was killed 10/11-3-1942 (together with Cz-airmen Romanoff, Janek, Fornusek and Politzer) on Whitley Z9125 of 138 Sqn. !

    I've in Air Britain's P1000 - R9999 for R9645:
14 OTU/1 AOS/1 OAFU - Hit tree on overshoot and crashed 1 m N of Bladnoch, Wigtown, 17.9.41 (I amended this entry in 1 PAFU and 17.9.42; don't know anymore who advised).

    Regards,
    Henk.

There is a Francis Jones age 37 registered in Strathbrock district of West Lothian Scotland, however, it is a common-ish name, might not be him, can;t check, no credits on the system.

David Fergus H Brown is as expected in Forgandenny district of Perthshire. Scotland

Kenneth G Patrick appears in Kirkinner district, Wigtown. As does H R Spangler.

Malcolm’s RAFWEB says:- “He was serving with No 158 Sqn and died on active service, the circumstances of which have yet to be ascertained, his death being registered in Bulmer. He is buried in Lurgan New Cemetery.”
The FREEBMD Reg says:- “Deaths Sep 1942 (>99%) Johnston, James A, 27, Bulmer 9d 307”.
