    Default Westland Sioux AH1 XT114 07 July 1972

I understand this AAC aircraft crashed on the Otterburn ranges.

Crashed and burnt out on the Otterburn Ranges, Northumberland, during exercise 'Sky Warrior'. The rotors struck high ground after the pilot was distracted. He escaped without injury

    Amrit,
Thank you for confirming the area,
I am trying to locate the site.

As you are aware the training ground is over 200km sq.

After some long hard searching, I managed to find an article in a newspaper from 08/July/1972,
It would appear that this AAC Sioux crashed on an un-named farm nr. Langholm, Dumfrieshire & not Otterburn.
