ACW1 Mary Williamson Boyle 432982 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that she died at 6.00 p.m. at West Highland Cottage Hospital, Oban, due to acute appendicitis, general peritonitis and septicaemia.
Cpl Horace COOKE - 1310734 - the Wetern morning News of Decmerb 23trd 1942 reported the following:
FOUND SHOT IN HIS BUNK
Airman's Death in South West
Discovery of a corporal in the R.A.F. shot dead in his bunk was described at an inquest in the South West on Corpl. Horace Cooke, aged 30, of Cradley, Staffs., who was a tailer's salesman in civil life...the Coroner returned a verdict of "Suicide while the balance of the man's mind was disturbed."
