Default WO Charles Anthony Howard DFC

December 23, 1942 a Halifax of 138 squadron crashed near a town called IJhorst some 20 miles from my hometown Zwolle. There were on a SOE operation.Six of the eight crewmembers were killed and rest in IJhorst cemetery.Via the CWGC site I know from five of the men where they came from however no info about a hometown regarding WO Charles Anthony Howard.I was hoping there is somebody who has some more info which could point me in the right direction to find out more about this brave young man.

    Thanks and best regards

Citation from Flight magazine - probably one of the shortest I've seen:

W/O. C. A. HOWARD, NO. 138 Sqn.óW/O. Howard is a navigator of outstanding ability. Since February, 1942, he has taken part in many operational flights.
