    Default Memorial Flight Petition

I have just come across this link; it is a petition to Gordon Brown not to disband the Memorial Flight.

Though I completely support the BBMF and hope it continues for many years to come, the petition itself eminates from an erroneous article in the Daily Mail (why doesn't that surprise me?). Both the MoD and the BBMF have declared that no such cuts are imminent

BTW just to be pedantic the 3 million BBMF budget works out as 0.008% of the MoD's 36.9 billion budget, not the 0.1% cited. Even rounding it out it should be 0.01%

Like Amrit I completely support the BBMF, however, if the money saved by disbanding it meant that our troops now fighting were to receive vital equipment that they wouldn't otherwise get then I would have to say, "No contest!"

    Default History

BBMF is a piece of living history we are lucky to have, it should not be bought into the moneysaving arena for any reason. Besides any money saved! would hardly make a drop in any ocean.

Maybe Alan, but every ocean is made up of many drops.

Any British citizen can decide what they wish to do about the petition.

This forum is not the place for a political debate on what each person thinks.

    End of.
