LAC Bertie James Thrupp 1099415 : Ballantrae, County of Ayr, Scotland. Was probably based at RAF Turnberry, Ayrshire.

LAC Bertie J. THRUPP - 1099415 - he's listed on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website as being killed due to injuries received in a flying accident at 8.00 p.m. at Smirton Hill, Ballantrae. On the same page are 1272507 Sgt. Leslie Walter Bridger and 1234771 Sgt. Kenneth Norman Tulloch, who have the same time, place and cause of death.

Bridger's unit is given as 131 O.T.U. on his Graves Registration Report Form.
