Default 132 (Norwegian) Wing 25.11.44 Bussum

On the 25.11.44 the 4 Squadrons of the Norwegian Wing (66, 127, 331, 332) are reported to have carried out a dive bombing mission on an enemy barracks in the Bussum area.
Reports from log books and ORB's suggest that the mission was very successful.
    Where was the target?
What german units were based at this location?
What losses were suffered by the germans?
    Any other information much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Andy,
According to Vera Henriksen's book on the RNAF the Norwegian squadrons are mentioned in BBC several times during November and December 1944. The first time is on 25 November 1944. Intelligence had discovered a German panzer unit (appr. 2000 men strong) in barracks near Hilversum (SE of Amsterdam). Attack carried out during the German lunch break to maximise possible damage.

I guess this is the operation you had in mind. It corresponds with entries in 331 and 332 ORB's Hilversum being mentioned in 331's.
