    Default Dnco

Have just obtained a photocopy of a WOP/AGs aircrew log. On one of the W/T exercises. It says in one of the exercise duty bit it has the letters DNCO can someone (pretty please) translate?

It usually means "Duty Not Carried Out"

Can you provide other details - time up and down etc so as to confirm that it does mean that in this context?

EDIT: ah I knew I had read it somewhere recently:

It comes from the log of Sgt James RAFVR (150 Sqn) while on W/T Flight at 12 OTU on 19 Nov 41 took off at 0955 in Anson N5075 and they landed 10 mins later! Very short flight. Pilot was FO Osborne.. He was later killed on way back to base while on 150 Sqn and is buried in Pihen-les-Guines (10 miles from Calais)-so close to home but so far! He was on 25th op on 30 July 42!

Thanks for your help. My colleague Ivan has had that same annotation come up in one of the logs he has a p/copy of so is interested too!

You as usual are a star!
