    Default 430104 - Unaccounted airman - 4-1-1943 (ME/Med)

    Sgt Roland F. LEA - 570361 - 89 Sqn (Abu Sueir, Egypt), buried Malta (Capuccini) Naval Cemetery. I could find an 89 Sqn loss of Beaufighter I.F - X7691, 8 miles E of Abu Sueir, however don't think Sgt Lea, buried on Malta, could be connected with this accident.
    What caused Lea's death ?

    Sgt. R F Lea seems to be listed DOAS in the Flght magazine June 24th 1943.

    Fitter II Sgt R F Lea was admitted to hospital on the 30.12.42 seriously ill with Polio and died on the 04.01.43.
