Default Sgt. Aubery Lancaster - 29.5.40 235 Sqn

Aubery Lancaster was one of the crew on board Blenheim MIV-F L9260 bounced by 109's off Calais. P/O Cronan put the crippled aircraft in the Channel, whilst water lapped at the LAC's feet, young Peebles continued firing with the sea water rising to waist hight he hit a 109.
They then alighted into the dinghy. A Paddle Steamer traveling from Dunkirk picked up the three crew and put them ashore at Dover?

Trying to find out the name of the Paddle Steamer ?

Unfortunately forgot to ask the question back in 1994 when interviewing him.

    Kind Regards

    Andrew

See the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships website:- http://www.adls.org.uk/t1/node/556
Possibly the Medway Queen, but there may have been others (Royal Sovereign, Royal Daffodil?). Perhaps the Association may have some details?
