Rayment was a member of 238 Squadron, as mentioned here:

    Thanks Armit
That ties up with the info I have on File.
I have a Sgt Rayment who along with a couple of other pilots from 238Sqn were attached to 127 Squadron due to lack of available pilots in 1943.
Trying to write a bio on him so thanks for the link as there is some useful info.
    Thanks

    Andy,

In full, he was NZ413123 Plt Off Hilton Digby Ronald Rayment.

    Served RNZAF 25 May 41 to 1 Mar 46.
    Safe UK 6 May 45.

He left New Zealand in Sep 41 for Canada to complete his pilot training there.

Interestingly, he appears to have had an American connection - his next of kin contact address while PoW was given as Box 85a, Route 2, Concord, Calif, USA. He was, however, back in New Zealand by 1948, getting married here in that year.

I may have a family contact, should you wish to follow up further on him.

    Thanks Errol.
If you could pass on the family contact I will try and make contact.
Never know what it will lead to.
Do you know if he filled out a POW Questionaire?

    Many Thanks
