    Default Spitfire BS157, 401 Squadron

I have found two different reports of the pilot when this aircraft was lost over Dieppe on 19 August 1942: Sgt. L.J. Armstrong POW or Sgt. M.H. Buckly KIA. Can anyone clear this up?

    Bill,
If it's any help, Franks has Buckley in BS157 and Armstrong in BS107.

The Spitfire web site has Buckley in BS157 but they don't name the pilot in BS107.

    Gents,

According to the Sqn ORB, Buckley was in BS157 and Armstrong BS107. In the case of Sgt Armstrong it was his second sortie of the day in that aircraft.

    Regards,

    Steve
