    Malcolm,
216sqdn Hudson stalled and crashed on take-off Khanka Airfield 04/11/42,
    F/Lt R.T Bradshaw.
    P/O F.V Browne, RAAF. 406637
    Sgt A Macdonald.
    Sgt M.O Brown
    All killed.
F/O Pyke died of injuries 08/11 according to file.

A search on NAA with Brownes service number reveals his 705 file is open for details.
Just noticed there were 3 LAC'S on board as well.......
    F. Holland...killed.
    C. Ironmonger, died of injuries.
G.M. Paulger, minor burns and shock.

Was LAC Ironmonger aboard the aircraft or on the ground? He's listed as a casualty on page 25 of P/O Browne's A705

    Malcolm,

    The No.216 Squadron Hudson was Mk.VI EW900 (42-6609).

Bradshaw, Brown(CAN/RAF)* and Holland, are incorrectly listed on CWGC as 206 Sqn.

Pyke died of his injuries on 5-11-1942, not 8-11-42.(He was later MiD).

    * Be interesting to see what TSGNO has to say about this incident. Should also be covered in Cummings'/Though Without Anger.

TSGNO says: "BROWN, MAX OTTO SGT (WAG) 618063 - Royal Air Force. From Prelate, Saskatchewan. Killed in Action Nov. 4/42 age 27. #216 Squadron (CCXVI Dona Ferens). Hudson aircraft lost during operations over enemy territory. Sergeant Wireless Operator Air Gunner Brown is buried in the Heliopolis War Cemetery, Egypt."

On checking further I found I had the others, they are all listed in Cummings except Pyke but Cummings does state '+ one other' which was obviously Pyke.
