Default Mosquito crash 26.11.1943 605 Sqdn.

    Dear Gentlemen,

in the night of 26/27th November 1943 a Mosquito crashed at Wunderburg near Harpstedt.

The two crew were KIA and first buried in the New cemetery of Oldenburg:

HYNE, Flight Lieutenant (Pilot) GERALD O'FARRELL GRANT, 33488, 605 Sqdn., Royal Air Force. 26 November 1943. Grave Ref. Joint grave 14. A. 5-6.

WALDER, Sergeant (Nav.) CHARLES HARRY, 1282311, 605 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 26 November 1943. Age 23. Son of Charles Frederick William and Mabel Miriam Walder, of Plumstead, London. Grave Ref. Joint grave 14. A. 5-6.

Can anyone please help me with the serial number of the Mosquito?

    Many thanks in advance!

    regards

    Steve

    Hi,

Many moons ago, Henk/John Larder suggested FB.VI HJ810. I believe the info was sourced from the AHB.
