Default Flt/Sgt DAVIES G.A. RNZAF 4310149 286 Sqn RAF Exeter

    Hello All,

Has anyone any back ground information on F/Sgt Davies or information on his landing accident in Martinet HN983 of 286 Sqn at Exeter on 13.12.1943?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Tim

    Henk,

Thank you for the Air-Britain information but on this occasion their record is incorrect. After some searching I realise I have a copy of the 286 Sqn ORB for this date and a very old copy of the AM Form 1180 and can confirm that the accident occurred on the 13.12.43. The ORB confirms Flt/Sgt DAVIES (4310149) and W/Bdr BOLTON, L (4189239) of 128 L.A.A. Regiment were both slightly injured and admitted to hospital. Strangely the ORB notes W/Bdr Bolton as the winch operator for the flight.

I guess I have answered my own question but at least we have corrected the accident date.

    Kind regards

    Tim
