    Dear Gentlemen,

in the so called Verliesregister for the year 1943 I found the entry that Halifax EB274 crashed into the sea 3km N of Terschelling.

I wonder if anyone has further informations.

From my notes, failed to return from a mission to Hamburg on 2/3 August 1943, shot down by night fighter, all crew killed. Was coded "NA*H".

From Bill Chorley's Bomber Command War Losses 1943, the crew are listed as follows : -

    Sgt. M Chepil DCM RCAF
    F/O F L Rogers RCAF
    Sgt. S J Williams
    Sgt. A Garalick RCAF
    Sgt. M F Spencer
    Sgt. M Evans
    Sgt. J R R Burfield
    F/O E J Andrews RCAF

Sgt. Chepil was awarded an immediate DFM from an operation to Le Creusot in June 1943.

I may be wrong but as the aircraft had eight men on board, it may be possible that F/O Rogers was a second pilot.
