    Default 1282840 LAC Bertram E. BURROWES died 9/9/44

    Does anyone know what caused the death of the above named individual please? He is listed on the CWGC as being a member of 139 Sqn. He died on 9/9/44 and was cremated in Nottingham.

    Mark,

    Cheers for that. I have a hunch that he might have been killed at Upwood when the 156 Lanc bomb load went up on that day.

    Can anyone confirm either way please?

    Jonny,

    He is registered as dying in the area around Huntingdon so it looks likes Upwood !
