    Default Pa-977

Theo. From a RCAF casualty file: Crashed at Wiersdorf ( K51/L-0857). Fell 60-70 yards behind a farm of Herr Martin Stommes. Shot down by a night fighter, burning as it came down, hitting the ground and flipping over. The tail and one engine came off before it hit the ground.

    Hi Richard and John,

Wonderful, many thanks for your quick replies, I now have the details on all three losses during the Bingen raid, which will be edited into the narrative about 22-23 December 1944 in the MS of the 2nd edition of the NJWD.

    Cheers, Theo
