I'll have a look after work, Peter, (10 hours' time) but suspect you'll have all of your answers by then.

I had a few minutes waiting around at work so had a quick whiz around and found 'E'.

Confirmation as in photos, logbook references etc? I'm afraid I can't help you there but my first thought was Patrick Macdonald's Through Darkness To Light. Unfortunately, now I'm home, no reference to the above aircraft. I even got desperate and looked at Lawrence Isemonger's The Men Who Went To Warsaw but since that's mainly about 2 SAAF Wing I knew it was a ridiculous long shot. Other than a variety of memoirs re 178 Sqn etc, I currently have no other references. Sorry, mate, hope I didn't get your hopes up.

No Hopes at all. I searched google, ORBs, compared 205Group ORB mine drop times where codes are mentioned with Squadron ORB mine drop times to crossreference...But in these few cases no match :( or no data :((

MacDonald's, Insemonger's book as well as some others (on 178 Sqn one of Aston) I do have, bu no mention of codes there...

So any idea of source, or any help would be great :) Thanks

Not on your list but KL372 was C bar.

    Ian

Further code letters in Philip Moyes' Bomber Sqdns of the RAF and their Aircraft, but sadly none of those required.
