Although F/Sgt James Ernest Arthur HUSCHMANN - 1013696 is buried in Cockpen Old Churchyard which is East of Edinburgh, I cannot find his death being registered in the Scottish records. I have tried various spelling and Soundex options but nothing is being shown.

F/Sgt James E. A. HUSCHMANN - 1013696 - the Dundee Evening Telegraph of October 16th 1943, as well as several other newspapers at the time, reported on the inquest into his death:

MOTORIST NOT GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER
John Percival Mitchell (26), a civilian technical officer, of York, was, at Northumberland Assizes, found not guilty of the manslaughter of Flight-Sergeant [James] Ernest Arthur Huschmann, R.A.F., of Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, by being under the influence of drink while in charge of a car. He was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for dangerous driving, and his licence was suspended for three years.
Mr. C. B. Fenwick, prosecuting, said Huschmann was a passenger in the car driven by Mitchell, who, it was alleged, showed recklessness amounting to manslaughter, being so intoxicated that he was unable to have proper control of the vehicle which crashed into pillars at the entrance to Flodden wood. Huschmann was found lying under the car.
Mitchell, in witness box, denied being under the influence of drink. He had no difficulty controlling the car and was only doing about 30 miles an hour.
