    Default F/Lt F H POLE RAF 117 Squadron.

Has any forum member access to 117 Squadron ORB's for 1945 period or maybe any knowledge of F/Lt Pole who served in Transport Command between 1944 to the end of the war into 1946.

I have tried the London Gazette website in an effort to gain his service commission number but as we all know it is a bit of a monster to control. My return visit today was met with 'unable to access due to an error'

Thanks to those who may reply.

Default Flt Lt F H Pole

    Col
Bruggsy beat me to that one but if you put in Pole (81412) it brings up 5 more entries including in 1946 his retention of his Flt Lt rank. There is also an entry in Flight Global in which there is an F.H. Pole (for some reason my computer was not complying either-does Francis Humphey Pole not want to be found!!!). This F H Pole is being promoted from Sgt to Acting Pilot Officer! If you can look at it maybe you can look the link is:

    http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1940/1940%20-%202188.html?search=F. H. Pole

I think there is another one aswell about the same man:
    http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1941/1941%20-%201390.html?search=F. H. Pole

By the way I just put F. H. Pole in the search and up they came.. There are 5 more pages but like the London Gazette it does bring up some esoterica.... Have fun!
