Default Unaccounted Airman (Army attached RAF)

Can someone please look up the death registration district for the following individual

    Name: ROGERS, FRANK LESLIE
    Initials: F L
    Nationality: United Kingdom
    Rank: Captain
    Regiment/Service: Royal Artillery
    Secondary Regiment: Royal Air Force
Secondary Unit Text: attd. 51 Sqdn.
    Age: 24
    Date of Death: 14/03/1942
    Service No: 77532
Additional information: Son of Colonel Thomas Leslie Rogers, O.B.E., and Dorothy Frazer Rogers, of Rusholme, Manchester. Alternative Commemoration - buried in Birch-in-Rusholme (St. James) Churchyard.
    Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
    Grave/Memorial Reference: Screen Wall.
    Cemetery: MANCHESTER SOUTHERN CEMETERY

Or give an indication of cause of death..

I think the Secondary Unit Text: attd. 651 Sqdn (not 51 Sqn), the death location will be near Garth South Wales and if so it is Taylorcraft Plus C ES956 of 651 Sqn

Registered in the first quarter of the year. Do you want to contact the CWGC to see if its a scanning error?

Thank you for your email of 15 June 2010 about Captain Frank Leslie Rogers alternatively commemorated on the screen wall in Manchester Southern Cemetery.

Our records are based on information given to the Commission by the relevant service authority after the Second World War and we hold the information they provided at the time.

We will therefore require some documentary evidence before we can make any amendments to our records regarding the secondary unit text information we hold.

You may wish to write to the Ministry of Defence, at the address given below, for details of the service record: However, I must point out that a charge is made for searching their records, unless the enquirer is the widow of the casualty and information will only be disclosed to near next-of-kin of the casualty.

best to just contact the RAF AHB and Army equivalent and suggest that they look into it since your not next of kin.

I've Capt Frank L. ROGERS in my files on ES956 with 651 Sqn, unfortunately can't provide any document to prove CWGC on incorrect unit.
    Regards,
    Henk.
