    Default Losse 3 May 1942

    Hello,

I'm looking for a loss which occurred May 3, 1942 over St Malo.
As often is said that this is a Canadian airman named John Velmouth.
He was buried on May 5 in the cemetery of St Malo Rocabey.
We know where the body was transferred to its name seems unknown, even by changing its spelling.
Article of his burial in the newspaper "Le Salut" dated May 11, 1942. We find his name in the cemetery at St Malo, then trace him.
    Cordialement,
    Regards,
    Mit freundlichem Gruß,

    Dan

    Default Pilot inconnu

    Hello,

I just got new information on my English pilot.
An excerpt from a diary: April 30, 1942, a British aircraft dropped behind the island of Cézembre, the aviator was rescued by the German wounded.
On 6 May, the young English airman 18 Cézembre loss nearly died in hospital of the Hotel Dieu of St. Malo.
He was buried in the cemetery of St Malo Rocabey May 6 It exists today in the cemetery a large cross at the location of his grave, bearing the number 47, but nobody knows if the body is still in place.

I leave it to you to check them all and see what can match. It looks like you're looking for a single-seater, aren't you ? A PRU pilot may be ?

    Good luck in your research
