    Default BBMF Retention Petition

I have just received an email in response to the petition to HMG to retain BBMF - come hell and/or high water:-
    http://www.hmg.gov.uk/epetition-responses/petition-view.aspx?epref=BBMFCuts.
    Note the headline:-

"Ensure that the Battle of Birtain Memorial Flight is not axed in any defence cuts".

Where has checking of spelling gone? Reliance on commercial Spellcheckers?!! This is a reponse from Her Majesty's Democratically elected Government!!! Those who espouse the opinion that all Civil Servants should be hung from the nearest lamp-post may just have gained some more converts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Errrr ... yes Peter, but the response did manage to convey that the BBMF will not be axed. And you still have lamposts? Well done, ours fell in the potholes!

    Bruce,
    Like it!
When serving at El Adem, and living in Tobruk, a WW2 bomb crater opened up between Sally-Bash Street and the Italian Square. We complained to the Council. Nothing happened. We then got a wooden crate-lid, and had painted on it (in Arabic), "Please sound your horn before entering this pot-hole as their may already be another car in it!".
Pot-hole filled in within a month! Near record! Sharp rise in UK car owners "done" by local police for minor infringements of Cyrenaican traffic laws!!!!!!!!!!!
    Nothing changes!!!!
