    Thanks Alan,

I had a query from a family member who knew nothing of the circumstances and this crash is not listed in our records.

    Default possible connection

    Hi

Do you have contact with the relatives of this person, as I am looking for F/Lt Howard Charles Sheffield Armstrong DFC, also buried in Carlisle he was with Coastal Command 228 Squadron and his Sunderland DW110 crashed in Ireland, we have made contact with most of the crew families but he is a mystery, and all avenues have turned up zero. His father was Charles Sheffield Armstrong and his mother was Catherine Myfanwy - he is buried in Dalston Rd Cememtry Carlisle, we believe he had a brother also serving in the RAF. Just a possibility.

    Regards

PS I see from cwg that your guy is buried in Middlesex and his parents are not the same BUT who knows could be family - the last known address of Howard is Chiselhurst in Kent and he went with his brothers to Repton School if this is any help
