    Default AC/Sgt S. Peplar

Blenheim IV L8859 of 114 Sqn badly damaged by Bf 109s over Germany, 12-1-1940. Sgt (Obs) W. PAUL injured; P/O (Pilot) G. TURNER made single-engined forced landing at Metz, Moselle and slightly injured. AC S. PEPLAR (WOp/Ag) unhurt but aircraft DBR and abandoned.

    Sgt Stephen G. PEPLAR - 550997 (WOp/Ag) was killed 26-4-1941 on Blenheim V6063 of 110 Sqn.

Were the Peplar's from 12-1-1940 and 26-4-1941 one and the same ?

    Regards,
    Henk.

Franks in 'Valiant Wings' gives the Wop/AG's initials as S.G. for the 12/1/40 event but Chorley has note that, as I read it, Lings was a long serving member of 110 Sq. but his crew had also served in France.
