    Default Blenheim R2794

Can anyone provide details of the two crew members from R2794 lost on 28 August 1940 with Plt Off J Dellow of 59 Squadron when the aircraft flew into ground one and a half miles north of Littlehampton when returning from a night bombing raid against Caen aerodrome?

Also, does anyone have a more precise location?

You can always use Geoff Sullivans website to make a good attempt at this :

if you google it it turns up in in google books:

The other few: the contribution made by Bomber and Coastal aircrew to the winning of the Battle of Britain by Larry Donnelly

Thank you Dennis for the swift reply!

I only had the AM Form 1180 not the relevant 540, and the only detail recorded was Dellow's name. Incidentally, I see that CWGC have Dellow as simply J, although the 1180 gives him as J C Dellow.

he is James Dellow only in his London Gazette commishioning listing.

and the likely birth register index entry is James Dellow only.
