Have the listing for it in the London Gazette but it doesnt do more than list him:

Try the enquiry service (for researchers) on the RAF Museum website as they were able to provide something when I asked them about a particular medal. Quite often it was for surviving a tour.... You could also try the following:

No citation in London Gazette and apparently none in Air Ministry Bulletins. Try National Archives of Great Britain. Kew, Air 2//8751 (and if not there, Air 2/8750) for recommendation.
