    Tim,
I've PILMER being the Drog.Op. on JN492, flown by Sgt George L. BREHAUT- RCAF R/154618. Collided with JN448 of same unit killing F/Sgt (Pilot) Ronald J.N. FORD - RCAF R/154618 (Runnymede Panel 217). No info on other crew on JN448, but have two non ranked for this date unaccounted for, both with a known grave: AC2 Dennis ACTON - 1833437 and LAC Wallace JOHNSON - 1518362 (age 39).
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Hi Henk

FORD, RONALD JOHN NORMAN Flt Sgt 1316519 was lost on this date and he is listed as being with 11 AGS so he was probably the pilot of JN448

Johnson was not registered in Eng or Wales, Acton was registered in Millom

Typed twice svcnr R/154618 in my message; R/154618 indeed was the number for BREHAUT, 1316519 correct for FORD. Sorry Malcolm, time to stop for the day !
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Gents

Steve Poole in his 'Rough Landing or Fatal Flight' reports that JN448 was piloted by George L Brehaut with Thomas Palmer (sic) as drogue operator. JN492 was piloted by Ronald JN Ford, alone in the aircraft.

    Gents,

Many thanks for the information and details, as Davew the 1180 has Ronald Ford as the sole occupant of JN448. Will have to look further into the Pilmer / Palmer issue.

    Thanks once again.

    Kind regards,

    Tim

What's the truth...Allison in his TSGNO on page 71 mentions that Brehaut was on JN492.
