    Default Signaller Brevet

Can anyone advise when the RAF flying badge for Signallers - (the "S" brevet ) came into use? I know it was worn immediately post-war, apparently due to a rationalization of the Air Gunner/Wireless Air Gunner specialties, but would like to know when it was first introduced.

    Default S brevet

I qualified for my "S" brevet in 1944 but, in fact, it was introduced to replace the WOP/AG brevet in November 1943. There were other categories introduced, e.g., WOP(air)(E), (G), (ASV) and (ASVG) but I didn't come across any of the others myself.
