Can you tell us where this number came from? A data tag, a log book, is there a name written that cannot be read?

What was he a crew member on?

if you give us some context/background info we might be able to find it from another source.

The three closest serial numbers of men who died are all from Manitoba. Baird R/191011 ; Gugins R/191070 ; Mccron R/191097 ; Wilman R/191061

    Hi Dennis,

A few years ago i bought a Canadian flying helmet(type B) and found a number on it,
The number is difficult to read, and i read R191024

The best you can do is contact the Canadian national archvies and they ought to be able to provide his name.

    Thanks Dennis.
Will certainly send them a letter, and see what they can do for me.

Be prepared for a long wait, Michel. They are really backlogged with requests. When I spoke to them last month, they said they were just doing January requests. You might get lucky if you are only looking for a name and not requesting his file.
