    Default G/C Robert MENZIES

Hi, i wonder if any of the forum members have any information on 04133 G/C R Menzies, pilot who retired from the RAF in 1945 after a life time of service.

According to the limited research i've conducted, he was born in 20/9/98, awarded a WWI pair, India General Service Medal (clasps; NW Frontier 1930-31 and Mohmand 1933) as well as the usual range of WWII service madals.

The interwar period i believe he served with both 20 & 99 Sqds, by 1940 he's listed as serving in the Technical Branch before retiring in 1945.

I'm hoping that a forum member might have a little information on his interwar & an account of his WWII service.

    Thanks in advance, Kerry.
