    F1180 gives Greatbatch as pupil on Oxford II - P8968 and Boyd as pilot of HN724

    Just to tidy up the file on Peter Miller 136855 14/06/1943.

    He was with 132 OTU and crashed while there. Gilmerton House is not at Drem but very close by East Fortune airfield.

    The OTU ORB reads.

    "Pilot Officer P. Miller was killed when he crashed in Beaufighter II R.2278 Owing to attempting to go round again after a bad landing."

    It goes on to say that he attempted to clear some tall trees and hit the tops stalling from about 100ft.

    Again Miller is the only listed casualty but was anyone else on board.
