    Default 524 Squadron Langham

    Hi!

My name is Lynda and I am looking for anyone who can give me any info regarding my Uncle F/Sgt Dennis Jenner Howard Sayers who flew wellington bombers out of Langham during 1944-45. He was posted as MIA on 13 Jan 1945.

I Know there have been a few posts about this MIA but I am wondering if Anthony WIllis may have a pictire from 1945 that may just include my uncle.

Any info about my Uncle would be great, not only for me but for his two brothers as well (one of whom is my father).

Please let me know of any info that you may have.

Thanks for such a great forum!

    Welcome Lunda,

I've nothing to add other than to link back to the old thread that Col raised, just to prevent duplication of threads.

There are three Auastralians on that crew

    426552 W/O Edgar Jack DATSON RAAF +
420468 (Nav.) P/O Geoffrey William HAM RAAF + (later DFC)*
    426418 W/O Ralph WEBSTER RAAF +

You can view or order for scanning the casualty files for them on the Australian National Archives, just serach for their service numbers above

They may provide some comtemporary documents that you may have some greater effort getting from the RAF.

    Hi Dennis

What a coincidence that you have the same name as my uncle! Thank you so much for your reply and I will act on it.

I will just leave my details om the board in case someone else can help in the future.

As the niece of a former WW2 serviing officer it would be nice to know if anyone searching for a relative could help me in the future.

    regards

    Lynda
