    Default 400702 - Unaccounted airman - 2-7-1940

What caused the death of Sgt Harold PEARCE - 560875 - 44 Squadron, who died of wounds or injuries received on active service and listed in Casualty Communiqué Nr. 44 (Flight 1-8-1940 page 94). He lies buried Plot B Grave 232 of the Millom (St.George) Churchyard, Cumberland.
His name is NOT in my Roll of Honour 44 Squadron.
It's rumoured that he was killed on Magister L5947 but this aircraft was lost on 2-7-19"43" (Air Britain Aeromilitaria Autumn 2010 - control column of aircraft jammed during aerobatics by passenger's parachute; hit house at Bracebridge Heath in Lincolnshire).
    Regards and thanks,
    Henk.

Thanks Andy, Yes Anson and K files have the correct details, and the Harvard file has N7057 with a long service life.
