Have had an email today which contains the following message.....

J'ai le regret de vous annoncer le de mon epoux Regis Decobeck, survenu le 28 aout dernier en fin de journee alors qu'il etait au domicile de notre fille Tatiana. Je viens de mettre la main sur vos adresses respectives etvons saurais gre de bien vouloir suspendre vos courriels etant donne que nous n'avons plus acces a sa messagerie.
Un tout grande merci de votre comprehension.

Am i right in thinking Regis has passed away, is there someone that can translate for myself and the other forum members who remember Regis.

Quickly translated into : I have the regret to inform you that my husband Régis Decobeck passed away on 28 August, at the end of the day, while he was in the home of our daughter Tatiana. I've just retrieved your respective e-mail addresses and would appreciate you not to write to his mail box any more, as we don't have any access to it. Thank your for your understanding.

I too had contact with Regis some years ago and found him very friendly and helpful. I was not aware that he was ill and it is very sad to learn of his passing.

I echo earlier comments, having had much to do with Régis on events concerning 41 Squadron aircraft that had come down in Belgium. I am sad to learn of his passing; he was a lovely chap to deal with.
