Air to Air firing - drogue

Hi all,

I would like to ask if anyone could provide me more details about the practice firing of AG u/t.
I know generally about the course, trainings, etc. I also know the principe of color ammo and counting of hits. But now I become wondering about the drogue - would be posible to get more details about its size, material, etc. I tried the Flight but get no useful results.

Pavel: The best person to talk to about this is Dennis (Denonline) on the lancaster archive forum. He has posted on several threads on this subject. He was a rear gunner with 5-Group during the war and he has excellent recall of his training.

I happen to have an RAF target drogue from ex RAF Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire. If you would like some photographs of it please let me know. I will make sure the fabric label giving the stores section & reference number is included in addition to the overall length and width.
