    Default Cause of death 24.7. 1944 - W/O Morgan

    Hi
    Has anyone any infomation o death W/O (1316136) Ivan Arthur MORGAN - ex.pilot 68 Sqn.
    He is listed as dying on 24.7.1944 and is buried Newcastle - upon - Tyne Cemetery.
    I would be very grateful for any help.

    W/O I A Morgan is shown as being 'Killed On Active Service' in Flight 30 November 1944.
    His death is registered in the district of Holderness, Yorkshire East Riding.

    Hello,

    Possibly, Beaufighter IF V8287, of the Central Gunnery School which crashed in a forced landing half-a-mile South of Sigglesthorne, East Yorkshire, on 24-7-1944.

    Hi Col

    The location of the crash would be Sigglesthorne not Sigglesthorpe, I live three miles from there

    CGS was at RAF Catfoss about 2 or 3 miles from crash site.
