V8736 skidded in to a dispersal pen at Coltishall, colliding with Spitfire AR423. No info re crew, sorry.

    Hello Pavel,

AR423 could be the Spitfire that was hit by Beaufighter V8736 as revealed by its more detailed history. It went to 118 sqdn on March 19, 1943 (based at Coltishall) then on May 3 was sent to 1 Civilian Repair Unit and on July 31 to 9 MU before being used by 131 sqdn.
Going to a CRU suggests it was damaged and the movement dates fit nicely to the known facts.

    Regards,

    Ian
