    Default SNF abbreviation

    Hi all,

anybody could help me with the abbreviation SNF? It has connection with the Night Flying but to be honest I am unable to decode the meaning of S.

    Any ideas much appreciated.

Synthetic perhaps? In daylight with sodium lights outlining the runway and the pilot wearing special goggles so that only the lights are visible.

    Hi Dave, thanks for suggestion.
As I found also abbreviation DNF I came to the conclusion it may mean SNF = Solo Night Flying and DNF = Dual Night Flying.

    Anyone can confirm this interpretation?

    TIA

That sounds much more likely than my suggestion, Pavel!
