Hi
I have him as probably being killed whilst flying Hurricane IIA, Z2578 of No 615 Sqn, which spun into the ground at Llanddeusant on Anglesey.
Malcolm
Can anyone tell me the details of how this pilot met his end? He would have been in a Hurricane, a Mk I or possibly a Mk II, and at this date, 615 Sqn was flying out of RAF Valley.
His full name was Joseph Francois Yves Albert Boulanger (J/4113), so he probably went by Francois. He was from Lachine, Quebec.
Thanks.

Hello,
The ORB gives the crash site location as "Llanfigael". He was on a formation practice flight with Sgt Spencer.
No entry in the form 541 as this was a training flight. Z2578 was indeed on strenght of No. 615 Squadron earlier that month.

Thanks Joss. My subject, P/O Arthur Stephen, crashed due to engine failure in July and later in the ORB, for August, I notice mention of "contaminated glycol". I will post a question about that in a separate thread.
