    Default P.W. Peters (42259)

Can anyone tell me what unit P.W. Peters was flying with when he was awarded his DFC. The citation in the LG gives no unit information but notes that the action took place in Jun 40, near Dunkirk and states that through skillful manoeuvering he enabled his gunner and navigator as well as himself to concentrate their fire on the nine Bf 109s that were attacking them, shooting two down.

I assume from the above that he was with a Blenheim squadron.

If anyone can shed any light on his unit at the time I would be grateful.

    Best Regards

    Hi Andy,

This is the account of how an Anson can be used to attack superior numbers of fighters..and survive.
