    Default Alan Storr's RAAF Fatalites

    Hello All,

Don't want to start a panic, but the AWM have removed access to Alan Storr's RAAF Fatalities series. This just might be a temporary aberration... but!

I have contacted the AWM to try and find out what is going on. Feel free to do so, as well:

    webmaster@awm.gov.au

    Will keep you informed.

    Col.

    Hello All,

Just received the following message from the Australian War Memorial (AWM), re Alan Storr's RAAF Fatalities:

    Dear Mr Bruggy,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Australian War Memorial.

It appears that the link has been unintentionally removed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will endeavour to have the content restored as soon as possible.

    I apologise for any inconvenience.

    Kind Regards,

    So & so.

    Col.

PS. Good as their word - Links now restored. Pity we can't get the same speedy response from other institutions.

I found the National Archives of Australia [NAA] as good regarding ordering of a cousin's service records .The paper version, in a card folder arived in UK in less than 10 days & the record is now digitalised on line .Cost A$28 inclusive of postage.
It used to be free to request a service record to be digitalised but times have changed !

Col, please can you give the link to Alan's work again .I want to check a correction I requested

    Hello Anne,

    As requested:

    http://www.awm.gov.au/search/collections/?q=RAAF+World+War+2+Fatalities&conflict=all

Should give you all 23 volumes.

    Col
Many thanks for the link .
    I've just found my MIA father's name again, F/O T R MILLAR RAAF,422612 -31 SAAF Liberator KH158 .
Unfortunately the page hasn't been corrected .It still states that he is remembered on the Runnymede memorial ,whereas his name is commmemorated on the Malta Memorial . I wrote to Alan earlier this year & received his reply that the mistake was noted . Perhaps it's not possible to correct ?
