Default Belgian Jean Moreau of 349 Squadron

    Hello,

I'm trying to verify if F/O J. F. R. H. G. Moreau of 349 Squadron, who claimed a shared Ju 88 on 06/06/44 and a 'Diver' on 03/08/44 is the same Jean Moreau (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/belgium_moreau.htm) that served in the 4/II/2. Aé during the German invasion of Belgium in May 1940.

Is there anyone who can help me with this?

    Best wishes/Håkan

I think you are correct with that information. Later became a 349 Sqd Pilot and as many did post war pilot with Sabena.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks for your replies.

Any additional info on him is most welcome.
I've got the combat reports from 06/06/44 and 03/08/44 from the NA.

I've a J. Moreau of 349 Sqn crashed into the sea 21.4.44 off Beachy Head flying Spitfire MJ962 and was rescued by ASR Sea Otter JM796 of 277 Sqn.
Any connection to Mr Victor Moreau who was killed 23-5-1940 on SABENA Savoia-Marchetti SM.73P OO-AGS on a ferry flight to the U.K. ??
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Hello Håkan,

Yes, it's the same Moreau that served in the 4/II/2

Just send you a p.m. regarding his career.

    Best regards,

    Serge
