    Hello All,

    Does anyone have any details on American pilot Sergeant AMOS, D (605548) involved in minor taxying accident in Martinet HP261 at Brunton on the 11.11.1943.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    1Lt. 38th Ftr Sqdn - 03-21-1945 - 3
    Total 5.5 credits
    One of his victories was the 55th FG's first Me262.
    Photos of this shoot down and captured pilot Unteroffizer Hermann Litzinger on page 98 of "The 55th F G vs. The Luftwaffe", while on page 107 a photo of "Queenie".
    In "Double Nickel-Double Trouble" on page 184 is the story of Amos and his capture and his photo.

    Possibly in P-51D 44-13818 "CG-B" "Mah Ideel".

    POW from 21-03-1945 crash landed aprox 25 miles NE of Arnhem wounded in right arm.
    Aircraft was posibly a P-51D 44-15123."CG-Z(underlined)" Named "Queenie"
    MACR 13226

    38th Ftr Sqdn was with the 55th Fighter Group 8th AAF.
