Listed as Died on Active Service, so non-operational.

Hi Bart
At the time of Harrison's death, 141 Sqn were stationed at Turnhouse nr Edinburgh. There is a death of a Frederick Harrison, 57, registered at Uxbridge where there was a major Fighter Command HQ , and I believe an RAF Hospital,it is near to Hillingdon where he is buried. I believe that Jan 40 is a little early for an Air raid. From this it suggests illness or accident as a cause of death. There is no indication on CWGC of his Home but it could have been in the area and he died on leave.
Regards
Dick
